Hello,

My close friend got following results. Stool test is scheduled for future will be done soon. WIll talk to doctor for scheduling the breath test to confirm no infection.

Helicobater Pylori Antibody Result: .58

Interpretation:
<0.89 U/mL Negative
0.9 - 1.09 U/ml Indeterminate
>=1.10 U/ml Positive

HelicobaterPylori AB IgA 3.4

Interpretation of H. Pylori IgA:
Negative <9.0
Equivocal 9.0 - 11.0
Positive >11.0

Test Performed by Sunrise Medical Laboratory.

HelicobaterPylori AB IgM 7.7

Interpretation of H. Pylori IgA:
Negative <9.0
Equivocal 9.0 - 11.0
Positive >11.0

Note from Lab:-

Serology based methods cannot distinguish between active and resolved infection. H Pylori Breath Test is recommended to confirm initial diagnosis of H. Pylori infection or for confirming eradication.

My personal experience.:- One of the Gastroentologist from India told me that 80% of the Indian public has H Pylori. People dont know about it. One should not ignore it. Go for Breath test and stool test to confirm. and let the doctor decide to go for Triple therapy based on all 4 results. Things will be more clear then.

WHat is your Ferritin levels.?
LH, IGF-1, FSH, Testosterone levels.? Thyroid levels like FT3, FT4,TSH? Are you obese or overweight?

Hi Aspirant,

I am slightly overweight but not by much. I also live in India. My Gastroentologist also said exact same thing that most people have H Pylori so he didn't pay attention to my concerns.

T3 is 96, T4 is 10.7 and TSH is 2.19. All are within reference range.

Do you know where I can get Breath test done for H Pylori in NCR region. I spoke to a few doctors and diagnostic centers they were not sure.

H Pylori is a hidden Pandemic in India. In USA doctors are bound to give treatment if stool or breath test any of these tests are positive.

Try gastroenterology department of all hospitals. Fortis, Medanta, Aiims etc for breath test. also Do HP stool test from Lal Path lab.

Share you results of Ferritin and other iron tests. Testosterone etc.

Best of Luck.
