DNA test is not accurate enough. We have seen too many false positive and false negative results from DNA testing. So DNA test has never been chosen as one of the reference method.

Nevertheless, DNA testing is still being developed. Perhaps there is some breakthrough that I am not aware of.

What do you regard as the gold standard test? I have read of many people who have had several negative tests of all kinds - stool antigen, breath and even biopsy taken during endoscopy, and yet when treated, they have responded and symptoms disappeared. Which test should we trust, in your opinion?

The easiest is definitely breath test. Very accurate if done correctly.
Follow by stool test. Also, if done correctly, can be very accurate.
Then blood test. But that involved taking some of your blood.
Then endoscopy and histology, which can be the most accurate, because not only it shows H. pylori, but also your stomach condition. But this will be the most expensive test.
