Hello Helico-expert this is the result of the MRI. Is it safe to start the H pylori treatment? Please give me your opinion about this results. Thank You very, very much for your opinion, for all the help you can give us.

C.T. scan of the abdomen and pelvis with and without contrast:

High resolution CT Scan of the abdomen and pelvis was done at 3mm interval slices from level of hemidiaphragm up to symphysis pubis after the oral and IV administration of contrast.

Findings:

COPD changes, but clear lungs. No pneumonic infiltrates or masses seen at the lower lung fields, lingual and right middle lobe respectively.

Liver, spleen and pancreas are normal in size and texture. No focal lesions seen. Adrenal glands and retroperitoneum are normal.

The gallbladder is adequately distended with radiopaque densities within its lumen suspicious of gallstones. Please corroborate with sonography.

Kidneys are normal in size, texture and show no hydronephrosis. There is a small calcific density at the right renal parenchyma, mid third portion. This is producing no obstruction. A smaller calculus is seen at the lower pole of left renal collecting system producing no obstruction. No hydronephrosis, cystic or solid lesions seen.

Atheromatous changes of abdominal aorta and common iliac arteries.

Uterus is anteverted and normal in size. No adnexal masses seen. No colonic mass or inflammatory process noted.

IMPRESSION:

1. COPD changes, but clear lungs.

2. suspected cholelithiasis

3. atheromatous changes of abdominal aorta and common iliac arteries

4. left renal non-obstructive calculi

Hello this is supposed to be the 3 days of treatment. Day 1 smoothly, seamlessly Day 2, Day 3 we ended up dawned emergency room with nausea that was not cleared and her blood pressure rose to 289 / 118. We left ER 170/85 for 2 hours I had to call the ambulance and had high blood pressure at 90 / 60. Please tell me continue with treatment or leave. What can we do to avoid side effects. The nurse was limited only to say that antibiotics are way too strong. I would give anything to see her healthy again

Hi,

the dosage of the treatment is standard. Should be safe for anyone. However, I would suggest your mother to continue the treatment to avoid resistance. Try some probiotics and see if that helps with reducing the side effects. Also, mixing pepto bismol in the treatment may also help.
