Biopsy results

Post by hunpeter91 » Fri Aug 09, 2019 5:11 pm

Hey! My endoscopy biopsy results arrived: 6mm long, grey-white thin sample was taken from just above the squamocolumnar border (ectopic stomach mucosal). Biopsy result: no sign of inflammation or malignancy. Sine morbo
My question is: is it possible to feel dull, pressing epigastric pain caused by this non inflammatory or malignant ectopic stomach mucosal above the cardia? Even if it is not in inflammation could it hurts? (sometimes I feel acid in my throat, but according to the endoscopy my cardia works well, so it cant be reflux right?)
I still have this annoying pain and would like to know why... Please help me. Thank you!

sounds like you are free of H. pylori!

if there is no other abnormality, then there is nothing to worry about. Try some PPI and see if that ease your symptoms.

Well bacteria test was not made. The therapy just finished 1,5 weeks ago when the endoscopy was made. So I go for urea breath test next week and we will see... I think it is acid or functiomal dyspepsia.

H. pylori will cause chronic gastritis. then again, not all gastritis are because of H. pylori. We have seen a few of those cases and we are not sure of what causes the gastritis.

nevertheless, usually when H. pylori is gone, the inflammation will gradually subside.
