Symptoms present 6 months after treatment

Hello
Long story short, I've had my deal with helicobacter back in November and I took a treatment (Amoxicillin 2 g / day
Claritomichin 1 g / day for 7 days)
Ever since then, my symptoms oscillated around but remained around the same intensity and type, such as:
- Pain in the stern spread around after I eat / before I eat / In the morning .. basically it always appears after I eat and sometimes before I eat. Some days are better, some are very bad.
- Nausea
- Feeling very weak
- Diahreea sometimes
- Feeling bloated
- Not feeling hungry almost all the time, just very nauseous when hungry
- Chills in my jaw

I took two stool tests, when I stayed for both 2 weeks of PPIs, which came back negative.

I've been off PPIs for about 4 weeks now and I don't feel much difference in symptoms intensity or frequency since I switched off PPIs

My current doctor states that stool tests are accurate when they are taken from the right zone and she claims she has a lot of patients with false negatives from stool tests. She insists I do a breathing test.
Honestly, I hope this is true because it would explain everything that happened with my health post-treatment.

I did many tests and all came back good, including digestion tests.

Any thoughts?

though both stool and breath are accurate, it really depends on the technician operating it. Your doctor probably know better which is more accurate.

anyway, i assume you did take PPI together with amoxicillin and Clarithromycin. because PPI was not mentioned in the first sentence.

Hi there..

It's been a month since I have finished 14 days course of clarithromycin+ Amoxicillin+ esomeprazole still I experience excessive bloating after meals which in turn creates a sort of pressure in throat which is very excruciating. Sometimes I also experience breathlessness.
My GI has finally agreed to carry out the endoscopy procedure. He says I shall have to wait for 10 days because I have been on rabeprazole.

Is it ok to go for endoscopy after 10 days from stopping ppi?
Is this 'pressure thing' a classic symptom of h pylori or gastritis ?
What would be the proper combination of antibiotics in case the result of endoscopy comes positive?

since you are already doing the endoscopy, ask your doctor for histology and rapid urease test.

if you are still positive, then discuss with your doctor if the following plan works for you..
Rabeprazole 20mg TID
Bismuth 220mg QID
Amoxicillin 1g TID
+ one antibiotic that your doctor has and you have not tried.

How long should I wait before going for endoscopy as I have been on ppis until yesterday?
