Hpylori eradicated

Post by Juju30 » Sun Jun 17, 2018 7:48 am

Just got my biopsy results back yesterday everything looks good just mild gastritis.and what's weird is I came back negative for hpylori.i had my endoscopy a week into triple therapy.but my.gi dr told me if it was there it was already killed off. I did tell them after two weeks of being off ppi I still suffer major bloating. He assured me that it's due to the body getting back to normal

I agree with your Dr. give yourself a bit of time to recover. Try mint tea or probiotics to ease the problem. The good news is, H pylori is removed. You will only get better.

I been taking probioitcs, kefir, vitamin d,aloe vera juice and manuka honey since I came off ppi..what actually causes the bloating? Is it the effects of the ppi or antibioitcs or just the stomach trying to recover

Good question. it is not sure what sort of bloating you are referring. Some people swallow more air and some people has slower rate of emptying the stomach.

If you think it's the second one, where your stomach takes longer time than usual to empty, you can try ask your doctor for either Domperidone or Mosapride.

how long have you completed your treatment? have you done a retest to find out if you are still infected with H. pylori?
