I have now completed my triple treatment with Clarithromycin, Amoxicillin and Pantoprazole (2 weeks). What is the standard procedure after the treatment? What medicines should I take now? How long to wait before getting a stool test for H Pylori again? As if now I am feeling okay after stopping with the antibiotics. Do get some gas but a couple of teaspoon of digene does the work after food.

you dont have to do anything special. eat normal. just wait for a month a do a breath test.

Noted! Also, after completing the antibiotics I have been having a light pain (not dire but this tingly sensation) on my upper back (close to neck) and left hand. Is this normal after stopping antibiotics? Does it go away in few days?

You can check with your local GP. I suspect is you have a swollen lymph. It usually happen below the rip, next to the stomach. But the lymph next to the thyroid, in the neck, can sometimes be swollen too.

I checked in with my doctor and he mentioned few things. First of all he said that I might be trying to overtreat my situation and said to take it easy. I was kind of paranoid about the whole thing. He has given me a probiotic Econorm Saccharomyces boulardii (250mg), Ganaton 40mg for heartburn and gas, and a powder for constipation. The only question I have is that I still feel low and kind of depressed sometimes. Am I still feeling the impact of the antibiotics? How many days does this feeling stays?

hmmm... if it is related to antibiotics, then it should go away within a week after stopping antibiotics. I think your doctor is right. you need to take it easy. It's important to have positive thoughts. Try distract yourself by doing something that you like.

Hy Guys! I have now completed the couple of weeks of probiotics and now basically on no medicines. I am eating normally but less spicy. Problems I have been facing right now are gas (I take digene syrup after food for it) and upper/Lower back pain. The back pain is something that I never had before but now its becoming regular. The problem of acid reflux and heartburn has now gone thankfully. I don’t know why I am having these back pains, maybe I am not taking proper vitamins and proteins naturally as I also feel weak with these pains. Some suggestions would be helpful!!

back pain is a bit unusual for H. pylori infection treatment. It's probably not related. Try some physiotherapy and see if they help.

Hello Expert, the back pain was combination of my sleeping with extra pillow (To combat Reflux) and apparently drinking too much water. I started using one pillow and drinking appropriate amount of water and back pain has improved. I also got the results of my stool test for H Pylori and thankfully it’s negative. Still I guess I have a long way to go to get my stomach up and running again. As if now I have to be very particular about what I am eating, slight mistake and its a sleepless night. Doctor has now given me a months worth of Probiotics, PPI (I feel I don’t need PPI as I have been without it for almost a month.. please suggest!), and also meds for bloating and constipation. The probiotic my doc has prescribed is Econorm Capsule containing Saccharomyces-boulardii (250mg). Its used for curing diarrhoea, so got me confused. Is it good??

Overall I am kind of happy that the Bacteria is gone, but still fighting to get my stomach right. Hope it all goes good again!
