Quick question..revived Lab orders today for retest 30 days after completion of meds..just wondering as it states
Diagnosis: Helocobactor pylori infection 041.86 - B96.81
Do those numbers represent the amount of bacteria in the stomach? Or just medical codes? Thank you.

I have no idea what those number means. Usually C14 has a dpm; C13 has a %. I think it is best you find out from the GP or directly from the diagnostic laboratory.

Morning Sir.
Finished 14 day Prevpak on 6/20/18. Eating pretty much what I want with no issues. Wondering if having a couple of beers would be a problem? What is a mild thickening of the lower distal of the esophagus mean? Thank you

Did your specialist get a biopsy of the esophagus tissue? if not, it's probably nothing to worry about.

Sometimes, when acid reflux, it may cause some inflammation and lead to esophagus thickening.

a couple of beer is fine. make sure you remember to get a follow up breath test a month later.

Now I feel like shit,
I got drunk last weekend because of the world cup....I was on biaxin and amox + ppi and pepto....I hope I didn't cause more damage to my stomach. Also, is it normal to feel some acidity sometimes when burping or am I a new diagnosed GERD sufferer? I dont have heartburn....

Received breath test results from Gastro Dr. it came back negative. Biopsy results not back yet. Endoscopy revealed mild gastritis & small hiatal hernia. He said losing some weight may solve the hernia problem. Eating or drinking anything I want with no problem. But I am cleaning up my diet to eat healthier. I’ve run a lot stuff thru my gut in 68 years...it could probably use a break! I wish to thank this forum for its encouragement & support!
