Hi.

I am on day 10 today of quadruple therapy.
20 mg omeprazole 2x
500 mg tetracycline 3x
500mg metronidazole 3x
Bismuth subsalicylate 3x

Is it safe to stop or continue? Doctor said 14 days.
I read an article that longer duration creates antibiotic resistance.

The longer the treatment usually gives better cure rate. However also means longer side effect.

Some anyibotic resistance can be overcome as the antibiotic dose increase.

10 days is good enough, but your doctor would know the local strain the best and he probably has a reason for 14 days treatment.

Hi,

I also read about antiobiotics 4x per day. My doctor only prescribed 3x per day. Are they wrong ?
