Hello everyone. Ive just finished my 14days triple therapy. I have still burping is that normal ? I have to wait 1 month to check it if h.pylori gone or not. also im thinking green tea extract + l-glutamine for stomach inflammation. are they ok for gastritis? probably take 10gr l-glutamine a day and 400mg green tea extract which contains 40mg caffeine from green tea. would 40mg caffeine be harmfull? i read lots of articles green tea reduces stomach inflammation is that true ? and kefir or probiotic yogurt which one is better for probiotics. thanks.

Some people does suffer from reflux after triple therapy treatment. Let's wait for a month and see if your H. pylori is eradicated.

There is no special guideline to what should be taken after triple therapy treatment. So, if you think green tea, glutamine and probiotics make you feel better, you should continue. There is no harm trying.

For your information, some people recovered almost immediately after the treatment. I myself for example. the moment i finished the antibiotics, I felt energetic again. No more reflux and no more burping. However, there are some not so lucky one, who take months or even years for the recovery. So, I think it's important that you make sure your H. pylori is eradicated. then focus on the recovery.

you can have a quick look at this following summary and discuss what to do with your doctor.

for example, if you really have to take something to control your reflux, you can take weaker acid blocker just before the breath testing

hi. its me again. ive called my doctor last week and he has said wait until 1 month done. so here are my problems. I have greenish-brown stool and still burping a lot. ( bloating and burning gone) that stool and burping may means i fail ? I think burping common after triple therapy for some people but greenish-brown stool should i worry ?

Yes, the treatment may cause burping. It may not necessary mean that you failed your treatment. You'll need to do a follow up breath test one month after your treatment to confirm if the H. pylori still present.

The greenish stool most likely because of the antibiotics. It should gradually go back to normal color once you stop taking antibiotics.
