Hello I am back with an update. 3 months since eradicating H Pylori and I had some symptoms come back. I instantly thought I was re-infected so I made an appointment with my Gastro and got on to Zantac immediately. I had the test 2 weeks ago and still negative to H Pylori, yay!

Turns out I have a fructose intolerance, but luckily not a lactose one, I was tested for both. I am off to see a dietitian to follow the FODMAP diet to find my trigger and then hopefully back to a symptom free life.

Glad to hear that you are still HP free.

Yea, it's common to have the symptoms come back once a while. But the frequency between the episodes should gradually become longer and longer.

I thought I'd come back to update. I followed the FODMAP diet earlier in the year and my guts are now finally fully healed. The only time I feel nauseated is if I eat foods that I know I am intolerant to.

Helico are still gone so the treatment outlined in my post definitely works.

Triple therapy, Nexium HP7 pack, at the beginning of April, twice a day for 7 days
Nexium 40mg
Amoxicillin 1g
Clarythromycin 500mg
Felt awful the first few days but was feeling OK at day 5. Stopped all the meds and nausea came back just as bad and. Suffered for a week or two, started in Zantac 300mg a day which made me feel much better. I have been taking the Zantac ever since, am now on 150mg twice a day and feeling much better.

I think you should do another follow up check up to find out if you still have H. pylori
