On a 14-day antibiotics course, here's how I'm doing

The cure of Hp usually requires antibiotics. Other things have been tried and have a weaker effect.

the recovery is very subjective. Some people felt great immediately after treatment, some people took months or years before they feel better.

Most important thing is to make sure that H. pylori is gone. You'll need to do a UBT test one month after the treatment.

Hopefully I'm allowed to post this here but I just recently started tracking my H Pylori condition here:

https://wecured.com/report/2

I'll be sure to make an update here when I do my follow up breath test.

Everything is still going fantastic!

I wonder why my doctors never linked my symptoms with H Pylori before?

Congrats. I think where you come from, H pylori is already rare.

Edit: if you want to follow my journey, please use this page: https://wecured.com/report/2 (Also highly recommend that you use the site to track your symptoms and treatments. It's really helpful when you need to discuss them online or with your doctor.)

Consider joining this data-driven H Pylori community where people post what worked for them: https://wecured.com/condition/h-pylori- ... ter-pylori

I'm 29, Male. For the last 20 years, I've had these symptoms:

Shortness of breath (when exercising)
Sinuities
Bad breath
Chronic white tongue (tested not thrush)
Chronic dry lips
Chronic dry facial skin
Phelm in throat
Chronic cough
Chronic dry mouth
Chronic dry eyes

Becuase these are not your typical H Pylori symptoms, I don't know if H Pylori is the cause for them. Regardless, I want to keep track of them. I will update this once every 2 days or so.

Here's how I'm doing on day 3:

Shortness of breath (when exercising) - Almost disappeared! Today I walked up a hill that would always make me out of breath. I walked up today breathing without opening even my mouth!
Sinuities - No significant improvement yet
Bad breath - Disappared!
Chronic white tongue (tested not thrush) - Still not completely pink yet but seems to be better.
Chronic dry lips - No difference
Chronic dry facial skin - Much better. When I was on Doxycycline, it was not dry but it came back as soon as I stopped.
Phelm in throat - No difference
Chronic cough - Slightly better. No longer cough a lot when exercising.
Chronic dry mouth - Slightly better.
Chronic dry eyes - Disappeared. When I wake up in the morning, I don't have white stuff around my eyes. This was true when I was on Doxycycline as well but came back after I stopped.

I'm improving. I just hope my symptoms don't come back after antibiotics.

On a somewhat related note, when I was younger, both my parents suffered from stomach pain and issues. They might also be H Pylori positive.
I'm 25 right now and have been fighting bad breath since since I was 15 yrs. Chronic white tongue and chapped lips are something which I always had but never really cared until I saw this post. Recently I was diagnosed with H.Pylori and I was given 14 day PPI + Amoxycillin + Clarithromycin. Like you, my bad breath went away from the very first day of antibiotics. However, it came back after my 14 day course. When I followed up with the doc, he prescribed some probiotics and rifaximin to treat the bad breath. They didn't work. Only medicine that ever worked was the hpylori antibiotics. Any suggestions?

Prof Marshall would prescribe one week of metronidazole to control the oral microbiome.
He also said that the microbiome can come back after a while, could be weeks, or months.
Microbiome is something we still dont really understand.

anyway, try to keep your oral cavity clean. get a dentist to check your teeth and gum.
