Thank you for sharing this advice with us. Since 2012, my mom has been seen by three different gastroenterologists; whereas, her case is often escalated to another doctor due to how complex it is. The following are the antibiotic regiments that she took for about a half of a month:

#1- 6/28/12- Clarithromycin, Amoxicillin, Omeprazole (Gastroenterologist)

#2- 12/11/12- Pylera (Bismuth, Metronidazole, Tetracycline) -(Gastroenterologist)

#3- 3/23/13- Doxycycline, Metronidazole, Omeprazole - (Gastroenterologist)

#4- 7/10/13- Levaquin, Amoxicillin, Metronidazole, Omeprazole (Gastroenterologist)

After the treatment above, it was recommended that she should see an infectious disease doctor because they hadn't seen a case where H. Pylori would not have gone away after enduring this regiments. This doctor recommended the following regiment for about a half of a month:

#5- 4/20/14- Tetracycline, Metronidazole, Omeprazole - (Infectious Disease Doctor)

After each of the regiments above, her doctors have taken time to research, strategize and then order follow-up tests, which continue to come back positive for H. Pylori. All of her doctors have tried their best, but her case really has them confused. She now has a new infectious disease doctor because the former infectious disease doctor in 2014 also agreed that her case needed to be escalated to a better hospital facility in my country. In your experience, have you come across any other antibiotic regiments that have been seen to be successful? If so, what were they? If not, have you come across any other steps to take after someone has seen gastroenterologists and infectious disease doctors but continue to have H. Pylori?

I came across some notes related to amyloidosis.
Although, it happens majority 70% in male, I am not sure it is a good point to rule this out for your mother.

Some of the these symptoms does not seem to apply to your mother, and perhaps a full blood test might reveal some indicators or clues.
I do hope it is nothing serious, but something that can be rectified with diet.

Not sure if you wish to check for B12 deficiency via blood test as well.

The information that you have shared is so appreciated. We have contacted my mom's primary care physician about what amyloidosis. He will be running some of the tests that you recommended and more to see if we can all find out additional information. Thanks so much!

I am sorry that I can only help you with the H. pylori problem. Your mom would need a good specialist doctor who have access to antibiotic sensitivity testing. Then your mom will receive a good treatment to take care of the H. pylori.

If you have doubt, why don’t you take a second opinion from another doctor?
