your wife you get a checkup and treat if it's positive.
your children is a bit young for any treatment. if they dont have any significant symptoms, just ignore them until they are older (>12 yrs old).

How long do H.P. survive out of the body? My husband and I are currently in the middle of an eradication course and our doctor has told us to boil all our dishes, saucepans and cutlery. Is there really any point in this?

it's a bit extreme to boil all dishes. a simple detergent wash is more than enough to kill H. pylori. Vomit is the easiest way of transmission established so far. so pub, clinic, hospital and even child care, is where you'll catch it.

I have no doubt that it is likely that many people ended up getting H. Pylori from these things. In my case, I lived in Toronto which used to have a lot of these very shallow wading pools. They did not seem to be as clean as the larger chlorinated swimming pools.
That would be worth investigating as I believe that these shallow wading pools could be a source of contamination.
I never had pink eye but my brother did and if I remember correctly I think he did usually get the infection after he had been swimming in a public pool. By the way I think he is looking at getting some swimming pools oklahoma city area for his daughters now. I hope he makes sure that their friends don't have any infections before swimming in their pool.

consumption of fruits and vegetables and of vitamin C??
Good and healthy but not sure it has any effect on H.pylori

These days, in a modern country with clean chlorinated water supply, Hp can only be acquired from a close family member. That means a spouse or sometimes mother to child.
So I recommend have your partner tested and then both take the treatment at the same time. Follow up with breath tests.
