Its been soon a month after i went on my second line of antibiotics and next week i will do a retest to see if the bug is gone.

I have a mild gastric also and i wounder if you useally take something to help the gastric to heal or if it will just heal of itself if the HP is gone? For right now it dont really feel like its going to get better.

There is no guideline what to take after treatment. However, many people take probiotics to prevent bad bacteria growing back.

Takes time, took me about 2 month after pylera to feel decent again.
Your stomach has a lot of work ahead of him, it has to set up a new environment.

Just try to avoid fatty food as it slows up the process.

Thanks both of you for the answers.

Helico: I tried probiotics from the pharmercy but they only gave me diarrea so i stoped with them. But am eating yoghurt that containes probiotics and that workes better.

Shid0x: How did you feel during this 2 month like what was your symtoms? Am not eating any fatty foods, am only eating rice, potatoes, pasta, chicken, salmon, oats, white bread and yoghurt.

I felt bloated, sharp pain in the duodenum after a big meal, and i had some reflux ( which i did not have with helicobacter ) and overall stomach pain.
Of course some days were better than others, big meal especially fucked everything up ( if you have like 3 in a row that's doomday).

As time went on it was less and less ( of course i had occasional flare up ) and after 2 month it was decent ( not great not bad but livable ) and then it went back to normal with time.
The most annoying was this small duodenal spot which resisted for a pretty long time.

Also even when you'll be fine you'll notice that your stomach has become weaker than usual, its just the way it is.

So the doc said i have a mild cronic gastric you think it would help to use PPL for 14 days or i just have to wait it out for to let it heal and the PPl wont really help?

gastritis wont heal unless H. pylori is eradicated.

ulcer wont heal unless PPI is given.

Also, If you have reflux symptoms, you take PPI to control your acid in order to protect your throat.

lastly, if you take PPI, you have to wait 4 weeks before you can go for another breath test to confirm the H. pylori eradication.

I just did a stooltest yeasterday to find out and i havent been on any PPl for 5 weeks so we will see the results next week, I dont have any acid refluxes so thats good only pain that comes time to time. So if we say the HP is eradicated it wont really matter if am on PPL or not the gastric wil hopfully heal with time?

As you can see some people take up to 12 months to get better.
