My Symptoms

The various unpleasant manifestations of Helicobacter can be described here. Remember however that the great majority of persons with Hp have no symptoms that they are aware of and consider themselves normal.

My Symptoms

Post by ExpressJT » Thu Oct 27, 2011 5:44 am

About 5 months ago, I started feeling nauseaus in the morning and then started gagging. I wouldn't throw up anything. It eventually happened every morning. Then it got to where I was throwing up anything I ate in the morning. I feel groggy in the morning and thru the day, like my body is heavy and tired. I feel like something is caught in my throat and continually try and clear it out or cough it out. I have heartburn. I pee almost every hour when I sleep. I gained about 45lbs in the past year and my diet shouldn't reflect that. I have soreness in my calf muscles sometimes. My eye twitches off and on but a lot every day. My underarms sweat a lot and do doesn't seam to help.

Recently, I found Dave Hompus' videos on youtube and thought I'd try cutting out gluten. I only ate larabars for bfast and lunch and chicken, rice and green beans for dinner for a week and a half and I almost instantly felt 10 times better. My symptoms almost fully went away and I didn't gag in the morning. My mood improved a whole lot. Until today...I went to whole foods with my wife and got some shampoo and soap and grabbed a bolthouse chocolate drink. It said gluten free but it did contain soy. Within 30 minutes I felt bad again like I felt before I stopped eating gluten.

I don't know what to do. Living with this is like chinese water torture and it's driving me crazy. It seems like whatever is wrong with me is aggrivated by gluten and/or soy. I've been unemployed and don't have a lot of money. Changing my diet was financially hard enough and I don't really know how to go about testing to see if I have h pylori, but I can't really afford a doctor visit, medication and/or medula tea etc... Can anyone offer some guidance or advice please? Thank you.

I am not familiar with the gluten food and beans. I dont understand the mechanism behind yet. So, I cannot tell you why the food made you better. However, if you are tested H pylori positive, maybe we can start from there by getting a treatment. I do hope H pylori is the source of your problem, at least it is well studied and to most people, it is not too hard to treat.

You sure seen to be having a tough time and I wouldn't advice you to take it so lightly!! I know that it is expensive going to a doctor but in such situations it is most important that we get the right diagnosis. Since you are from dallas its good that you check which is the best Dallas doctors and fix an appointment with him and get it diagnosed. So don't waste time as it definitely looks that you need a doctor's help right now!!
