Question about regimes

The most popular treatments consist of two antibiotics (one of which is usually clarithromycin) plus a strong acid blocker such as omeprazole (PriLosec, Nexium, Somac, Zoton, etc.). Treatment is for 7-10 days. Cure rate is about 85%

Thanks! I’ll give them a try. I have been drinking probiotic yoghurt during and after the treatment, and also tried Kefir milk. The latter gave me some brainfog and headache.

I’ve read the one thread about what to expect after treatment. But the questions and answers wasn’t what I was looking for.

I finished treatment on Thuraday. The gastro told me the drugs would be out of my system after 48 hrs. I am still nauseous, have stomach cramps and slight pain + loose stools. Is this normal? When can I expect this to subside, if at all? Also I feel very tired...

Hello again,

Though I might drop by to tell you I have had two Urea-tests being NEGATIVE (one in September, and one at the end of October). After well over fifteen years of HP infection I am free from it. Long gone are endless rounds to the bathroom, bloating, pain, terrible nausea, a lot of sensitivity to food and beverages.

I’d like to thank all of you for your thoughts and support in my thread. Unfortunately I got floxed during the treatment but I hope, with time, that will heal and pass!

Hope to stay HP free for the rest of my life. THANK YOU helico_expert :D

Thank you, and a Merry Christmas to you and your colleagues!

I took time to read some of the threads here last night, and it really breaks my heart to read the struggles some of your members have. I want you all to know I really feel for you, really!

Those who gets cured from diseases, mostly forget it and move on with their life. By coming back, I would really like to express my sincere gratitude and share my success.
I hope my story can bring hope to !

I struggled with this for well over 15 years before they found out what was wrong with me. Each and every day I am extremely greatful knowing I am healthy again.

Helico_expert - we don’t know each other, but when I came here, afraid, desperate, full of questions and in need of support, your replies and the way you answered me brought me hope and energy to fight on.

And for those reading this and wondering, I do not use PPIs today. It took me about 6-7 weeks post treatment before symptoms eased. During that period I was on and off PPIs.
