I'm expecting that my GP will want to do a test for HP. What is the most accurate alternative to breath and endoscopy testing?

Blood and stool tests are equally good. Blood test tells you history of infection, not your current infection status. if you have never taken h. pylori treatment, you can assume that you are still infected and do blood test to confirm.
