I think most diagnostic laboratory would have this test. It's not meant for home test. You need your blood to be processed to be tested.

Re: Biopsies repeatedly positive, tests repeatedly negative - what's the explanation?

It is true that low stomach acid can lead to lower bacteria load. also, HP can regulate the urease enzyme in producing ammonia to neutralize the acid. if there is no acid, then HP will stop the urease enzyme from making ammonia. The breath test is actually testing the urease enzyme. Therefore, the u...

Re: Need advice/help treatment

Thank you for sharing your story. It's unfortunate that your first treatment failed. However, it's good to know that you are not allergic to amoxicillin. Amoxicillin is a very good antibiotic and it is very hard for H. pylori to become resistant to. So you can repetitively use it. Your current treat...

Re: Symptoms After Treatment

There are many types of PPI, such as omeprazole, esomeprazole, pantoprazole, dexlansoprazole, rabeprazole and others. They all have the same principle and work the same. Their structure is only slightly different to accommodate different people. If you find Nexium not effective to you, you can try r...

Re: Symptoms After Treatment

intestinal metaplasia is when the gastric cells are replaced by intestinal cells. nobody knows why and how. But my theory is that as you grow up, your self-repair efficiency declines. The damage can no longer be repaired by cell duplication. So, intestinal stem cells are attracted to the stomach to ...

Hi, Thanks for sharing your story. H. pylori has infected half the population in the world. So you dont need to worry too much. also, people usually caught H. pylori when they were very young. So you most likely already had H. pylori for many years. So try to calm down while having the treatment. Yo...

Re: Chronic Gastritis Fear

It is common for the symptoms to persist after HP eradication.
The inflammation can sometimes cause damage that is hard to heal.
Therefore, the earlier you get rid of HP, the higher chance of returning to normal.
As for your symptoms, you can try probiotics or PPI to ease the symptoms.
