Re: In Canada, Dr. doesn't want to do breath test

Hi Judy, haven't seen any other posts on here lately from you, just wondering if your tests came back yet? Have you found anything that you can eat? i think in the worst of it, i was on saltine crackers, seriously, just nibbles. i was not well. lately i've been starting to get the familiar feelings....

Re: Help please!

Hi Roo, unfortunately a lot of people feel pretty terrible after a bout of h. pylori, and healing varies for everyone, some have it very hard and some seem to bounce right back. however, if your symptoms are very painful, talk to your doctor. maybe he/she can get you in to the ultrasound faster to m...

Re: In Canada, Dr. doesn't want to do breath test

hi Judy, all those symptoms sound familiar, i was also afraid to eat and lost a great ammount of weight, which brought on more complicated symptoms. for about a month i could only bring myself to nibble on crackers etc. and even that would make me extremely nauseous. I had a great doctor in a walk-i...

Re: In Canada, Dr. doesn't want to do breath test

Sure, here goes, I'm afraid I have a terrible memory, but I will try to get the time-lines right. February 2011 I was treated with an Hp-pac, prevacid, amoxicillin, clarithromycin. Which was the same treatment I had about 8 or 9 months prior, late July or early August of 2010. For me, the reason tha...

Re: Galbladder removed Helio positive.

Thank you Helico_Expert,

I thought there might have been a link to the gallstones and the h. pylori in my case, though the doctors never said as much.

Re: Galbladder removed Helio positive.

I have also experienced the hunger/vomit feeling, it's not pleasant at all, I have no idea if it from the h. pylori or if it is something else. Was the helio found in your removed gallbladder? or was it a second testing that showed it? I also had my gallbladder removed in an emergency situation, and...

In Canada, Dr. doesn't want to do breath test

As stated I live in Canada, I have healthcare, and some basic insurance, is there some reason that the doctor doesn't seem to want to do a Urea breath test? Is it a terribly expensive or elaborate test? He told me it would come back positive anyway and prescribed a second Hp-pak. I had an endoscopy ...

Re: Can Anyone Help my Daughter

I am really sorry to hear of your daughters' pain. I'm afraid I can't help you, I am just a sufferer of h.pylori as well, and am not a doctor. but as a parent, I wanted to reach out to you and let you know that I hear your pain, and I hope that your daughter gets better soon, I know what it's like t...

Re: Gastritis and everyday living

I know how you feel, i miss eating real food, it's nice to loose some weight, but a heavy price to pay by not enjoying anything i eat. I finished my treatment in June or so, and have been gradually feeling better, but I sure do miss eating the foods that I like. If it makes you feel any better, I ha...
