Re: Antibody test

Forgot to add...after you've confirmed h pylori eradication. You may want to take preventive measure to prevent reinfection...maybe eat yogurt daily (its shown to POSSIBLY protect against h pylori reinfection) and vitamin D daily (shown on papers to POSSIBLY have protective properties). Good luck fr...

Re: Antibody test

Well Im h pylori free now and still have symptoms so its normal to have symptoms after eradicating the bacteria. In my case it takes up to 6 months of being h pylori free to get back to normal (no symptoms). Ever since 2014...I could not go 6 months without reinfection until 2017 hit then I had no r...

Re: Antibody test

The histology report said "mild chronic gastritis associated with occasional helicobacter organism on the surface" Given my acidity symptoms and evidence of helicobacter on the surface I assume that it must be active Another strange think in my case is that in the first endoscopy in October 2020 he...

Re: Biopsies repeatedly positive, tests repeatedly negative - what's the explanation?

I'm going to post the full chronology of my tests in the second post here, but to keep it brief in this first post, my symptoms started in the summer of 2011 and since then I've had 3 stool tests and one breath test, all have come back negative. Yet two different sets of biopsies have found HP, the...

Re: Antibody test

Hi I was diagnosed with H Pylori in Oct 2020 after an endoscopy. I did the triple therapy treatment and since then in the last 18 months I have tested 3 times negative on stool test and once negative in Urea Breath Test (done in July 22). I made sure that before each test I was off PPI for 14 days....

Re: Update on endoscope, questions

First I find it strange that one topic that I posed a month or so ago has completely disappeared! It does show up in some cases but at most other times, it is gone without trace! Does anyone have this issue? I was a HP patient, eradicated in Jan 2019 after taking antibiotics, confirmed by scope in ...

Re: Rare Case - H pylori Reinfection Must READ

This is a very very long report but I tried to be as detailed and as partial as possible here. If you are not a researcher you don't need to read all of it. I made a summary for you at the end: ==================================== This time I will be precise withi my locations and the dates . No nee...

Re: Rare Case - H pylori Reinfection Must READ

Hi, thanks for sharing your very interesting story. Here is a few points... hopefully they help you understand better. 1. H. pylori doesnt survive well outside human body. So spreading from water is probably not the common path. 2. I think you have IgA instead of IgM. IgM is usually an indication o...

Re: Rare Case - H pylori Reinfection Must READ

Just so my point is not mis understood and people can learn from this. These are the points of my story. 1. I have had h pylori all this time but the only reliable tests are fecal and blood test, more towards blood tests. Im not saying all my tests are negative and my ailments were due to something ...
