The "life" of PPI in the body varies from people to people. Some people metabolise it faster than other people. That's why some PPI only works for certain individual. many people has been successfully treated. in your case, because you have tried many treatment. you'll need a specialist who has access to a good laboratory that can culture H. pylori. Then a proper antibiotic sensitivity test can be done and a right treatment can be provided.

ah.... tonsil stones. it's interesting that my wife has it. once a while she can cough one out. but she is totally healthy. So i dont think you need to worry about it.

stool test is normally quite accurate. alternatively, you can go for a breath test. But, since you are taking PPI now, you cannot do breath test.

Nevertheless, some people takes slightly longer time to heal after H. pylori treatment.

perhaps you want to stop pantoprazole and try other PPI, such as rabeprazole? they work the same. You can ask the pharmacist to switch it for you. PPI are normally quite safe. some people take it for years. We find that higher dose PPI get higher success rate in killing H. pylori. So we always give ...
