Hi, H. pylori can only be eradicated via at least 2 antibiotics and a PPI. Your current treatment is probably good enough to control the symptom but not strong enough get rid of the root of the problem. Mastic gum and Omeprazole are fine. But they do not eradicate H. pylori. Please speak to your doc...

we normally only give 10 days treatment. so 14 days is already very good. Rest well now. drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits. Looking forward to hearing your follow up breath test result in 1 month time.

Gastric cancer usually happen after 50s. So get check up when you are young. and get at least one endoscopy done in your 50s. The dilemma is that when you are young and healthy, you are usually asymptomatic. When you dont have symptoms, you dont worry about it.

yes, previous exposure to Azithromycin can cause resistant in H. pylori. Resistant to Azithromycin also leads to Clarithromycin. So you cannot take any of these drug anymore in your next treatment.
