Hello,

I want to ask a question about the symptoms regarding the infection with HP. I got infected last year in August, I had a treatment (Atibyotics), but I still have a problem: I am dizzy most of the time. I feel like I just had 2 beers. I can't stand on my feet being very conscious. I can walk and talk normaly..but I feel very odd. And this since last year. I had a treatment with some pills that contain domperidon and felt much better. But the treatment is over and I begin to feel dizzy again. Are these symptoms known for infection with HP? What can be the cause?

Thank you in advance.

Hopefully you can have some answers soon. I get in here almost every day and I think all moderators and doctors are so busy they don't have time to answers any questions.

Gastric and duodenal ulcers are defects in the lining of the stomach or duodenum that form when gastric acid overwhelms the normal protective mechanisms. Most ulcers are caused by the bacteria Helicobacter pylori or by aspirin and similar drugs, which impair the stomach's defenses against gastric acid. Some rare ulcers are caused by tumors that produce gastrin, a hormone that stimulates gastric acid secretion. The lifetime prevalence of ulcers in the United States is 6 to 10 percent. Affected persons often experience indigestion, and about 20 percent have a complication, such as bleeding. Ulcers can be cured with drugs that suppress gastric acid secretion or eradicate Helicobacter pylori.
