Endoscopy 2.5 weeks after treatment

Post by jhong721 » Mon Sep 26, 2016 7:36 pm

My GI told me to do the test and did a biopsy. Found no H pylori during and after the biopsy. Was this too soon or do I need to wait 4 weeks?

2.5 weeks after treatment is ok. but did they do histology and CLOtest ? with those two tests, it will be very close to 100% accurate.

I'm not sure.. I requested for a stool test to confirm. Now gotta go off PPIs for two weeks!

Am I in the clear? Endoscopy with biopsy and stool test.

I feel much better but not back to normal. Wonder what people did to recover from the inflammation and gastritis. They said I have chronic gastritis.. does that ever go away?

Stool test is pretty accurate. I think you just need time for your stomach to recover. so how do you feel these two weeks without PPI? do you feel like you need more PPI?

I feel like the acid attacks have subsided.. so I'm not using the PPIs anymore. I still get some discomfort but it's been a slow recovery. My energy level is much better but I still have inflammation it seems. Wondering how others have felt.

Thanks to this forum.. Just surprised that this bacteria is so unknown but yet so common. Wish they tested me when I was young so I could at least try and get rid of it naturally or when I was younger. I'm seeing a diet coach now to see if that can help me progress. Would love to feel 100% again like I used to not too long ago.

Hope the Helico team can one day find a cure or an easier treatment without the use of so much antibiotics. The Pylera really messed up my nerves.

Shoot.. I was taking Sulcralfate before I took the stool test.

So Endoscopy 2.5 weeks after Pylera. Rapid urease test and biopsy came back negative.

few weeks later I took Sulcralfate for 2-3 weeks and then took the stool test. Do I have to take it again? Ugh.. They just told me no PPIs.

ahh... unfortunately you'll have to stop Sucralfate for at least 14 days.

here is the guideline.
