So I got my test results from the urea breath test which is negative. So that's 2 breath tests now and an endoscopy, the latter of which showed no inflammation.

If that's the case, why am I still experiencing constant epigastric pain? I didn't have any of these symptoms before I did the h pylori treatment.

good that you are free of H. pylori now. so at least we know your pain is not due to HP.

have you done an ultrasound to see if you have stones in your gall-bladder?

Hi Helico, so far I've had an abdominal ultrasound, chest x ray, blood/urine/stool tests, CT scan, and upper endoscopy. Only things found so far were a small cyst on my pancreas and malabsorption in my terminal ileum.

if everything comes back normal, then i think there is probably nothing to worry about. try take some PPI and see if that helps. If PPI is able to ease your pain, then at least you know it is gastric juice related and probably because your stomach is still healing.

If PPI is not able to ease your pain, then that would suggest something else non acid related. maybe stone or certain food allergy or other infection.

Yea I tried going on a PPI (double dose) for a month and it made me feel worse. Any idea for why these symptoms (upper abdominal pain, yellow stools) would arise after h pylori treatment? I never had this issue before :S

My stools are also yellow with occasional black specs on them.

Unfortunately it is a very poor studied area. Many scientists are trying to develop their own "soup" of good microbiome. Some doctors even provide fecal transplant service to restore the microbiome. Some says work, some says no.

Nevertheless, most people would just try probiotics and eat healthily and hope that the environment will switch to suit the good microbiome better.
