Human Microbiome Project

Post by luci2010 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 3:15 pm

I read this article on BBC website and thought I would share with everyone.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/7949 ... -body.html

The Human Microbiome Project intends to sequence the genomes (the genetic content) of 900 or so species of microbes found in the human body. By studing the microbes and how they interact with our bodies and other microbes, they expect to see important developments in the next few years against a variety of diseases of the digestive tract, as well as Crohn's.

There is still hope! Never give up ;-)
