HP FROM FRANCE

The various unpleasant manifestations of Helicobacter can be described here. Remember however that the great majority of persons with Hp have no symptoms that they are aware of and consider themselves normal.

Your treatment is good. But in Europe, antibiotic resistant to Clarithromycin and metronidazole is common.

H. pylori will never become resistant to Amoxicillin. So you can continue to use it.

If you need another treatment, you should try double the dose of Omeprazole. Talk to your doctor about doubling Omeprazole or switching to Rabeprazole or Pentoprazole (also double dose).

Rabeprazole and Pentoprazole may work better than Omeprazole because some people are found to metabolise omeprazole faster.

No PPI for at least 2 weeks. No antibiotics for at least 4 weeks.

H2 blocker, such as Ranitidine, is fine.

very good question. I dont know. We are never able to test the dead cells if they are resistant to one or two antibiotics. Since triple therapy use to work, I would assume you need at least two working antibiotics to kill it.
