H-Pylori and Gastroparesis

The various unpleasant manifestations of Helicobacter can be described here. Remember however that the great majority of persons with Hp have no symptoms that they are aware of and consider themselves normal.

H-Pylori and Gastroparesis

Post by vlm777 » Thu Jun 27, 2013 1:55 pm

Hi,

I've recently been diagnosed with H-Pylori and Gastroparesis. I asked my GI if the Gastroparesis could be caused by the H-Pylori and while he didn't look convinced he said "it's possible".
According to this article, http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1954884/ "Helicobacter pylori does not seem to be associated with gastroparesis". I was just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

One more question:

I am currently taking a Omeprazole 1xdaily/Clarithromyin 1-4xdaily/Metronidazole 1-4xdaily/pepto-b'mol tablets 2-4xdailey for 14 days. Is that the correct combination? Most of the other treatments I've been reading of have been 2xdaily but 2 at a time of each. It seems as though it would even out the same, I just wanted to make sure.

Thank you for your time. :)
