For at least 18 years vaccine research has shown promise in that mice can be vaccinated against H.pylori. Presently, human trials are under-way. We expect to see some progress by 2012. Vaccine delivery includes nasal drops, oral medicine, needles and live bacteria. There is some evidence that these vaccines can prevent and protect, but not cure.

Immune Response
Both humoral (blood antibodies) and cellular (lymphocyte) immune responses are activated by H.pylori. Technical aspects of vaccines can be posted here.
